COMMITTEE REPORTS
Fundraising
Texas Hold ‘Em event grossed $15K, school made about $5K. Two or three rounds of re-buy ins. Full bar and cigars available. Organizers judged it to be worth the effort. If capacity had been filled, would have met $10K goal. Planning to run another.
Green Zebra book sale in progress.
Stella Kim pushing gift card program, and % of money from “Shop with Scrip” goes to school.
Jim Thirtyacre reminded community to sign up for eScrip. Get grandparents and other friends, family to sign up.
QSP program successful enough to qualify for BMX bike show, and all the kids got to see it. Helped motivate kids to sell holiday merchandise, especially the older kids, since it pays for their Outdoor Ed. Thanked Jeannie Pierson for organizing.
Auction
Nancy Sur read report emailed in from MJ Call: We continue pulling in donations from merchants. The response has been average (in this down year) and interestingly, our donors are actually giving us higher value gift certs and other donations compared to past years. We continue trying to find some big pocket donors as well as smaller advertisers. And we are going to go the eVite route this year since there's only about 10-percent or less of the CL parent population that we DON'T have email addresses for. Those people will receive printed invites, as well as some merchants, alums, and others. However, that's less than 100 printed invites, which will save us about $1000.
FACULTY REPORTS
Karen Hadley mentioned CL Baseball team won the championship for the first city athletic championship in CL history. Softball took 3rd place. Cross country program after school 3 days a week. Volleyball, soccer, track and field starting.
Question of separate soccer teams for girls/boys raised. Karen said that it’s an issue of shortage of field space, and can’t do it at this point.
COMMUNITY
Two first Friday events held thus far. None in December because of Songfest. None in January. There will be one in February and one in April.
OUTDOOR ED
Exploratory committee has identified a nice 6th grade trip in Point Reyes for next year that is less expensive than the current program. Program is specific for grades 6-8. ($80 /kid vs $300).
Request that dates for Outdoor Ed programs be published.
Susan reminded Mr. Hack that Camp Jones Gulch is available for OE programs, as well.
GREENING
No report. Still waiting on bids.
TECH REPORT
E-waste event did not get turnout hoped for. Made $320.
Implemented 10 new MacBooks in lab.

Anne Vollen brought up the Green My School contest. If your child wants to write a poem or make a picture to accompany the application, that would help. Teachers all have guidelines. Some are participating. Entries due Dec 10. Mr. Hack will coordinate entries. Christy Collins offered to contribute imovie or other help.
Marci Ryan announced that 8th graders are available for babysitting as a fund raiser on Dec 13. All funds go to graduation fund. Contact Sarah Moore.
